At Peaceful Paws Pet Care, my priority is your pet’s well-being and your peace of mind.
By booking services, you agree to the following policies:

1. Services Provided

Peaceful Paws Pet Care agrees to provide the services selected by the Client, including but not limited to:

  • Drop-in visits
  • Dog walking
  • Extended drop-in visits

Services will be provided with reasonable care, professionalism, and attention to the pet’s health and well-being.


2. Payment & Booking

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking to confirm reservations.
  • Additional fees apply for:
    • Visits exceeding booked time
    • Holiday services
    • Additional pets
  • No services will be rendered without full payment.
  • A meet & greet is required for new pets prior to service date. Bookings will be cancelled by Peaceful Paws Pet Care for a full refund, if meet & greet has not occurred by 6:00PM the day before service booking.

3. Service Timing

  • Services are billed by the time scheduled, starting from entry to exit. This includes time needed for setup and care. As such, walks will be less than 30 minutes.
  • For a full 30-minute walk, a 60-minute appointment is required to allow for setup and care time.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made before 12:00 PM (noon) on the day prior to the scheduled service will receive a full refund.
  • Late cancellations will receive a 50% refund
  • Bookings canceled by Peaceful Paws Pet Care for inclement weather, safety or emergency reasons will be fully refunded.
  • Peaceful Paws Pet Care reserves the right to cancel bookings due to inclement weather without advanced notice. A full refund will be provided.

5. Health & Vaccination Requirements

  • All pets must be up-to-date on core vaccinations (rabies, distemper, etc.) and on a flea, tick, and heartworm prevention program.
  • Puppies must complete their full parvovirus vaccination series before being taken outdoors.
  • Proof of vaccination must be provided prior to services.
  • Services may be refused if a pet’s health or temperament poses safety risks.
  • Bookings will be cancelled by Peaceful Paws Pet Care if proof of vaccinations has not been provided by 12:00PM the day before service booking.

6. Aggressive or Unsafe Pets

  • A meet & greet is required for all new clients.
  • If a pet displays aggression or prevents safe entry, Peaceful Paws Pet Care will not provide service and may cancel the booking with a refund.
  • Owners are responsible for accurately disclosing all known behavior concerns.

7. Owner Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about their pet’s health, temperament, and care needs.
  • Supply safe access to their home (keys, codes, etc.) and secure their property. If entry is not available immediately upon arrival time, the booking will be cancelled without refund.
  • Maintain proper identification tags.
  • Provide adequate pet care and household supplies for the duration of each reservation including but not limited to, food, medication, medical supplies, a sturdy harness/collar, leash, litter, bags, cleaning supplies.
  • Accept financial responsibility for damages or injuries caused by their pet(s).
  • Retain back-up emergency care in the even of inclement weather, which prevents Peaceful Paws Pet Care from completing the booking.

8. Insurance Disclosure

Peaceful Paws Pet Care maintains Commercial General Liability Insurance through Lloyd’s of London (administered by Veracity Insurance Solutions), which includes coverage for:

  • Bodily injury or property damage to third parties caused by services.
  • Veterinary reimbursement for accidental pet injury during services.
  • Lost key coverage and limited employee dishonesty protection.

This insurance is not pet health insurance and does not cover:

  • Illnesses (including communicable diseases) not caused by proven negligence
  • Pre-existing medical conditions
  • Incidents outside services provided

9. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

The Client acknowledges that pet care carries inherent risks, including injury, illness, or accidents. The Client agrees to:

  • Release and hold harmless Peaceful Paws Pet Care and its representatives from claims, damages, or liabilities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
  • Accept full responsibility for veterinary costs, property damage, or injury caused by their pet(s).
  • Waive liability for communicable diseases (including but not limited to parvovirus, kennel cough, and parasites) not directly caused by Peaceful Paws Pet Care’s negligence.

10. Emergency Veterinary Care

If a pet requires emergency veterinary care and the Client cannot be reached, Peaceful Paws Pet Care will seek treatment at the Client’s preferred veterinary clinic or the nearest available facility. All costs are the Client’s responsibility. Client agrees to pay expenses within 24 hours of bill being provided.

If client does not want Peaceful Paws Pet Care to seek treatment, a waiver will be required.


11. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and defend Peaceful Paws Pet Care from any claims, legal actions, or damages (including attorney fees) caused by their pet(s), inaccurate information, or failure to disclose health/behavior risks.


12. Key & Home Access Policy

Peaceful Paws Pet Care is not responsible for theft, burglary, or property damage unrelated to its actions. Clients must secure their property and notify us of any security systems or risks.


13. Force Majeure

Peaceful Paws Pet Care is not liable for service delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, accidents, or emergencies.


14. Off-Leash Activity (If Applicable)

All pets will remain on-leash unless in a secure, fenced area or if off-leash activity is requested in writing by the Client. The Client assumes all liability for off-leash incidents.


15. Photos & Media

Peaceful Paws Pet Care retains ownership of pet pictures and recordings. These may be used for website, social media and/or marketing materials for promotion.


16. No Guarantees

Peaceful Paws Pet Care makes no guarantees regarding pet behavior, health outcomes, or results of care. Services are provided on a best-effort basis.


17. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes shall be resolved in the county where services were provided.


By booking services, you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and Liability Waiver.
